I cut a sheet of mdf to the exact size of the top of my micke ikea desk. I've measured it up and the inside hole is 72mm, and it's proving difficult to find anything that fits as most of the grommets i've seen are either 60mm or 80mm.

Parts used were the capita stainless steel brackets and the ekby amund shelf all on a micke desk.there are also dioder led strips behind the monitors and under the shelf. Of course, the main thing everyone has been doing is two alex drawers with a desk slab overtop, but since alex drawers are out of stock in most places, i was.
